Numbers used for decisions deserve published standards. This page states how content is sourced, reviewed, corrected, and kept independent of advertising.
SolvWise publishes calculation-based content in two domains people make real decisions with — personal finance and health. That requires editorial discipline: every claim sourced, every formula stated, every correction public. This page documents the policy.
Content Standards
Every article, deep dive, and FAQ follows these rules:
- Primary sources first: regulators (CFPB, SEC, Fed), health agencies (CDC, WHO, ADA, ACOG), standards bodies (NIST, BIPM). Commercial blogs are never the sole source.
- Formulas stated openly: any calculation described in text shows its formula and a worked numeric example.
- Dated content: 'Last reviewed' stamps on every substantive page; market-sensitive pages (rates, prices) are refreshed on a schedule.
- No personalized advice: content explains mechanics and evidence; it never tells you what to do with your money or health. Decisions belong with you and your licensed professionals.
- Uncertainty admitted: when methods disagree (BMR equations, ideal weight formulas), we say so and show the range instead of false precision.
Review & Corrections
New pages pass a two-stage check: technical verification (formulas and worked examples recomputed independently) and editorial review (clarity, sourcing, tone). Health and finance pages get an extra accuracy pass against current guidance.
Found an error? Use the contact page. Substantive corrections are deployed within 24 hours; the page notes the correction. We do not silently rewrite content — trust requires a visible trail.
Advertising Independence
SolvWise displays advertising (Google AdSense) to remain free. Ad revenue does not influence content: calculators rank by usefulness to the user, never by advertiser preference; no paid placements inside calculation results; sponsored content, if ever present, would be labeled in the first line. Affiliate links, where used, carry a disclosure on the page and never alter the calculator's math.
We do not sell user data and do not run personalized ad targeting on pages where sensitive inputs (health calculators) appear. See the privacy policy for the full data practices.

Calculation engines and content are built and verified by the SolvWise team using published standards; substantive finance/health pages receive an additional review pass against regulator and agency guidance before publication and at each refresh.
How do you handle a wrong result in a calculator?
Reported calculation errors block the page from the queue immediately, get a root-cause fix with test vectors, and ship with a public correction note. Accuracy regressions are caught by automated known-answer tests at every build.
Can I cite SolvWise in my work?
Yes, with the formula cited too — every page states it. For formal work, cite the primary source (NIST, CFPB, etc.) that the page references; we are a clear presentation of their published math.
Do advertisers see or influence content before publication?
No. Ads are served by networks after publication and never previewed to advertisers. Content decisions follow this policy only.
